Phone Consultation
We start with a free consultation over the phone, where we discuss your dog's behavior, the changes you want to make, and how I can help. This is a good time for me to gather some basic information about your dog, tell you about my methods, and answer any questions you may have.
A Single Two-Hour Home Training Session
I offer a two-hour home session at a rate of $250. For most dogs, we can expect to cover a few different areas in those two hours, for example, leash pulling, house training and doorway jumping. If we will be working on anxiety or aggression, however, we will want to reserve the entire two hours to work on that single issue.
FAQ: Why two hours? Isn't that too long to keep a dog's attention?
I prefer not to rush my clients or their dogs. Dog training gets the best results in a relaxed, unhurried environment. I have found that two hours gives us time to discuss the problem, observe your dog's behavior, do our training, and answer all of your questions. We won't be actively working with the dog for two solid hours – that would be a bit much! If your children will be participating in the training, we may only work with them for part of the time, as their age and attention spans allow.
Package of Three Home Training Sessions (six hours total)
I offer a package of three two-hour home training sessions for $650 – a discount of $100 compared to regular rates. This package is especially useful for persistent problems like anxiety, aggression and reactivity because it allows us to follow up after you have practiced for a few weeks and evaluate your progress, answer your questions, and make any needed changes to your routine. This package is also a good option for those with new puppies because it allows us to address housetraining and mouthing early on, and then jumping, leash pulling and obedience as the puppy gets bigger.
